Sunday Post #1: Welcome May!

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news. A post to recap the past week on your blog and showcase books and things we have received. Share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead. See rules here: Sunday Post Meme

It has been quite the week around here! I had surgery not too long ago and I am well on my way to being recovered! The pain isn't as bad anymore & I am able to start getting back into my daily routine more and more each day.. I am sore towards the end of the day, but the doctor said that was to be expected. I still have about 4 weeks left until my 6 weeks check-up, but I think I am doing great! I cannot wait for the check-up though, I NEED him to clear me to get back to playing Roller Derby again! I miss it!

Since today is Sunday, I am spending it with the family and blogging. It is pretty much a relaxing day around here so everyone is kind of just doing their own week. I have a busy week ahead to get ready for & a job interview to prepare for. Fun times around here, let me tell you! I hope everyone is enjoying their Sunday!

  1. Well. That some smoking hot man abs in your New Arrivals section! I love the site. The colors, the set up. Everything is so nice and clean!

So I'm not a gamer, but my husband is! I work for Prima Games, which publishes strategy guides for video games. So games are my life, it seems. But my novel I wrote features some hot gamer boys. I felt the romance genre needed more of them. ;)

  2. I love Mario games! :D Though I hardly ever play.

It's great to hear that you are doing better from your surgery! As a nurse, I know how tough they can be.

    Happy reading! :)

  7. You have some very hot books waiting to be read, Peyton... they look yummy!
I hope you'll heal quickly so you can get back to roller derby! That sounds like so much fun. I'm sadly out of shape these days, I need to get back into a routine.
Have a wonderful week and happy reading.

  9. Great to hear you’re feeling good and the pain is getting better. Sore definitely is part of the whole recovery. (I’m a Nurse on a Surgery ward so I kind of know ;) )
Looks like you have some gorgeous new books! Those abs.. Sigh.
I do love gaming but I never have time for it. Books come first and since I have to work hard to get to the books.. Gaming just doesn’t work out. Especially since when I start them, I never want to stop! Whaha Love Mario Games too though.
Have a great week and Happy Reading!

    1. That is my issue though. I could never be a super serious gamer.. I got MONTHS without playing anything sometimes because I am so wrapped up in reading, or Mommy things or 9385983475 other things I want to do besides gaming haha..
